Do you have life strategies?
When you get on an airplane they show you the exits.When you are at a public gathering they show you the exits.The idea of preparing ahead of time is to have a strategy. But so many people have no life strategy. Kind of making things up as they go which inevitably leads to some very unsuccessful strategies. Having no strategy to deal with life's bumps usually doesnt create very good results. Our greatest regrets come from our poorest reactions.
Here are 12 Unsuccessful Life strategies from author Sue Fitzmaurice.
1.Blaming others 2.Being afraid 3.Making excuses 4.Re-living your past in your present
5.Complaining 6.Controlling 7.Needing to be right 8.judging others 9.Needing to impress others. 10.Having limiting beliefs 11.Resisting change 12. Attachment to the superficial things
I dont think I need to give 12 successful ones, a little reverse engineering on these will create the picture we need to develop successful life strategies. As the book "The Slight Edge" says: " easy to do, easy to not do". Therein lies the secret to a better life and reasons for a difficult one!
Rather than cite a scripture for each above, which I could do, I think Phillipians 4: 8 speaks to all of these. "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things."
