How You and I grow the Church pt 2 of 4

Hosea 4:6 says " my people are destroyed for lack of Knowledge." That is so true and getting truer every day! Recent surveys on Biblical illiteracy are astounding to everyone except those who have no biblical background. A NYC Survey resulted in these findings: " only 1 out of 10 can name the four gospels"," 9 out of 10 cannot repeat one of the commandments", one said "an epistle is the wife of an apostle". It would be funny if it weren't so sad because this is taking a huge toll on Society. Problems we face daily or seek secular counseling or medication for could be resolved  to take DAILY time to pray and read the Word of God.There is medicine available, we just have to take it.

What does that have to do with Growing the Church? Everything. If we are getting well and healthy biblically then we will have a life that attracts and invites others to seek the source of the changes. Are there bible studies in your church? Why not attend?A good question. If you dont because you have  biblical wisdom and insight  then I would suggest you start your own home bible study to bless others.

But the underlying truth is this. As we grow so grows the Church. If you and I want WFC to grow then we need to prepare for growth. As I mentioned, the Shepherd cares for and leads the sheep to pastures. But sheep feed themselves and sheep give birth to sheep.
